This 8 week plan from Popsugar is incredibly simply and easy to follow. If you are someone who just wants a structured plan and then wants to jump right in, this is a good one. This is actually similar to the plan I used for prepping for my first half marathon.
Some people thrive on tons of detail and direction, but some of us just need the bare bones. In this 8 week plan it gives you 3 days a week of cardio and a plan of how to ease yourself into running. It’s not telling you to go at certain speeds – just to get out there and do it.
The main thing you should focus on with any exercise is that the more you do it, the better you get. No one is “a runner” until they actually get out there and push themselves to practice running.
Yeah…you need to practice that ish to be good at it.
This plan can be completed inside on a treadmill or outside in your neighborhood and the only thing you need is some sort of timer.
The routines last anywhere from 21 – 44 minutes. You can do that, for sure. 🙂
On the days when you don’t complete this running routine, you can opt for strength training or yoga workouts. There are tons of these kinds of workouts on the Popsugar website. The stronger you can make your entire body, the easy running will become.
